OrangeAventine Press, 2003 - 228 páginas When she was seventeen, Demen's parents died in a plane crash. After a few years of therapy and frustration, she focused her attention on starting a unique project, Orange Magazine. Eight years later, the magazine is strong enough to go national. When not at her magazine Demen is usually found in the company of her best friend, Dollar. Out of curiosity, the two check out a new private club called Freddy's. Demen likes the interesting mix of people who frequent Freddy's, but Dollar, looking for some inspiration, sets out on a cross-country trip leaving Demen, for the first time in a long time, alone. Demen starts spending more time at Freddy's than at the magazine and begins a relationship with Bob, the clubs owner. Months later, she realizes that she doesn't love Bob and that she's been using him, as well as Freddy's, to avoid dealing with an unresolved past and deciding on a future for Orange. After painfully parting ways with Bob, Demen discovers that she has to finally come to terms with her parent's death before she can move on. |
