The rule, requiring all bills to be printed after a first reading, was suspended with regard to bill No. 46, entitled "A bill to establish the boundary lines of the counties, &c.," and the bill was then read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Nowlin,

The 18th rule was suspended, in order that said bill be now considered by the house.

The said bill was then considered, and on motion of Mr. Engle, the word "ten" in 19th section was stricken out, and the word "twenty" inserted.

On motion of Mr. Quigley,

The blank in the 13th section was filled with the word "Rochester."

On motion of Mr. Engle,

The blank in the 23d section was filled with the words "first day of March, 1838."

The said bill was then ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The secretary of the Council being introduced, delivered the following message:

"Mr. President,-I am directed to present for your signature 'An act to divorce Armstead W. Floyd from his wife Eleanor Floyd,' and 'Resolution relative to the publication of the laws in the several papers of this territory." And then he withdrew.
