Speaking of the British India exhibit, however, he says: It is certainly remarkable that the far-oh' and less civilized British India should have quite surpassed the United King dom in a representation of education at Vienna. To do this required but little effort, how ever, and was certainly accomplished - the Indian Government sending more than four times as many contributions, and such as better represented the condition and progress of education.
