The above copy of the "Complete Angler" comprises the engravings belonging to Bagster's second edition, as well as a double set of the illu-trations in Major's beautiful edition, the one consisting of etchings printed on India paper, and the other of splendid proof impressions also on India paper. Besides these there are in the volume numerous plates extracted from various other editions, and a beautifully coloured series of engravings representing the fishes named in the work; making a total of nearly 120 full-page illustrations (neatly mounted to an uniform size) besides numerous woodcuts in the Text.

The Illustrations to the Lives of Donne and others are 70 in number, and form a complete Portrait Gallery of the times in which these worthies lived.
