Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution and the laws of the State of Maine, the Senators-elect to the Sixty-Ninth Legislature convened in the Senate Chamber and were called to order by Kendall M. Dunbar, Secretary of the Senate of 1897-'98. Prayer was offered by Rev. Mr. Newbert of Augusta.
