No. 3.--Abstract of bids under advertisement of May 8, 1838, inviting proposals for carrying the mail of the United States, from the 1st of September, 1838, to the 30th of June, 1842, on the following post-route in Missouri; to be received until the 15th day of July, 1838, inclusive, and to be decided on the day following.

No. 3.-Abstract of bids under advertisement of May 17, 1838, inviting proposals for carrying the mail of the United States, from the 1st of August, 1838, to the 31st of December, 1839, on the following post-roule in Ohio; to be received until the 10th day of July, 1838, inclusive, and to be decided on the day following.

No. 1502.-From Zanesville, by Putnam,
Fultonham, Somerset, Rushville, Lancaster,
Tarlton, Kingston, Chillicothe, Bourneville,
Bainbridge, Sinking Spring, Locust Grove,
Dunbarton, West Union, and Aberdeen, to
Maysville, Ky., 146 miles and back, daily, in
2-horse wagons.

Proposals for carrying the above mail in
4-horse post coaches will also be considered.
Leave daily after arrival of the Wheeling
mail, say at 7 a. m.; arrive second day (in 50
hours) by 9 a. m.

Returning: Leave daily after arrival of the
Lexington mail, say at 2 p. m.; arrive second
day (in 50 hours) in time to connect with the
mail for Wheeling by 4 p. m.gem

No. 1048.-From Columbia, by Marietta, Robert K. Colvin
Bainbridge, and Falmouth, to Middletown, 31
miles and back, daily, in stages, from Colum-
bia to Bainbridge, and thence to Middletown, 3
times a week, on horseback.

Proposals for carrying a daily mail on
horseback from Columbia to Marietta, and 3
times a week on the balance of the route, were
also invited under date of June arrival of th

Leave Columbia daily after arrival the
Philadelphia mail, say at 4 p. m.; arrive at
Bainbridge same day by 61 p. m.

Leave Bainbridge daily at 2 p. m., arrive at
Columbia same day by 41 p. m..

Leave Bainbridge every Monday, Wednes-
day, and Friday, at 7 p. m.; arrive at Middle-
town same days by 9 p. m.

Leave Middletown every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 10 a. m.; arrive at Bainbridge same days by 12 m,
