that agents, appointed and paid by the depart-
ment to take charge of them, will be conveyed
free of charge, whenever required.

Mills, Sparta, and Devereaux's Store, to Mil-
ledgeville, 44 miles and back, daily, in 4-
horse post coaches.

Proposals are invited to carry the mail
on this route in water-proof carriages, con-
structed for the purpose under the direction of
the department, with only three passengers,
on the outside or in a separate apartment;
also, to carry the mail at a greater speed, de-
fining the number of miles which the bidder
proposes to make in each hour of running
time.

Leave Warrenton daily at 9 a. m.; arrive
at Milledgeville same day by 6 p. m.
Leave Milledgeville daily at 7 a. m.; arrive
