the care and management of the real estate of decedent, pending a sale thereof, securities amounting to $20,513.00. The balance $142,926.61, consisting of, bonds and mortgages, $122,000.00, and cash $20,926.61, was awarded to the Yearly Meeting, and directed to be paid to Thomas J. Husband, its Treasurer.

The cash above mentioned is ready to be paid, and the transfers of the securities to him are now being prepared. The contingent fund above mentioned, and some additional personal estate, consisting principally of accrued income, will be the subject of a future account.

The account heretofore filed embraced most of the personal estate of decedent.

The remainder of the estate is composed of valuable real estate, the proceeds of which will be received when a favorable opportunity for disposing of the same is presented to the Executors.

Daniel Foulke, one of the Committee, departed this life Second month 18th, 1888. He was a valued and deeply interested member of the Committee.

In closing their report the Committee desire to acknowledge the courtesy shown them by the Executors, and the disposition they have manifested on various occasions to consult freely in reference to the interests of the Yearly Meeting.

After deliberation the following minute was adopted: That a Committee of men and women Friends, consisting of six from each Quarterly and Half-Year's Meeting (three of each sex) be appointed to nominate to a future session a committee of five Friends to advise with the Treasurer and the Executors of the will of John M. George, deceased, with the same power, and authority given to the Committee of last year. Also, to bring forward the names of a Committee to take into consideration the whole subject of the provivisions of the will of John M. George, deceased, relative to a boarding school, and report either to this Yearly Meeting, or that to be held next year, a plan for the organization and government of the school to be established, the manner in which the trust estate shall be held and managed, and if way opens suggest a location and plans for suitable buildings, with an estimate of the probable cost thereof, with authority to draw on the Treasurer for necessary expenses.

The First Query with the answers from the subordinate meetings was read and considered; a comprised answer was also read and adopted. The meeting was deeply engaged in considering the state of society as presented by these answers.

Then adjourned until 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Third-day Afternoon.

The Second, Third, and Fourth queries were read, with the answers thereto. Summary answers were also read and adopted.

In connection with the Fourth Query, the report of the Committee on Intoxicating Beverages was read. The consideration thereof was postponed until our next session.

Then adjourned until 10 o'clock to-morrow morning.

Sixteenth of the Month and Fourth of the Week.

The report of the Committee on Intoxicating Beverages being again read and considered was accepted, the Committee continued, and encouraged to pursue its labors as way opens in accordance with the operations of Divine Truth in their minds, with authority to draw on the treasurer of the Yearly Meeting for necessary expenses.

The proposed memorial to Congress, annexed to the report, was not united with.

The meeting was occupied during its entire session in feeling labor with the important subject embraced in this report.

Then adjourned until 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Fourth-day-Afternoon.

The Committee appointed at a former session to bring forward the names of five Friends to advise with the Treasurer and Executors of the will of John M. George, deceased, with the same power and authority given to the Committee last year, to wit, with full discretionary power to confer with the Treasurer of this Yearly Meeting, and with the Executors of the will of the said John M. George, deceased, to give further attention to the subject, and generally to take such action in relation thereto as may appear necessary and expedient; also, to bring forward the names of a committee to take into consideration the whole subject of the provisions of the will of John M. George, deceased, relative to a boarding-school, and report either to this Yearly Meeting, or that to be held next year, a plan for the organization and government of the school to be established, the manner in which the trust estate shall be held and managed, and if way opens suggest a location and plans for suitable buildings, with an estimate of the probable cost thereof, with authority to draw on the Treasurer for necessary expenses, nominated for the Committee of five, first above mentioned, the following Friends:
