5468 CHRONICLES of the Picts, Chronicles of the Scots and other early memorials of Scottish history, edited by W. F. SKENE, roy. 8vo. 4pp. of facsimiles, hf. bound, 10s 6d

Edin. 1867

With a preface of 195 pp. by the editor, on the legends and early history of Scotland. 5469 SCOTTISH SESSIONS PAPERS OF THE LORDS OF COUNCIL AND SESSION, A.D. 1761-1770:

A Collection of Privately Printed Papers, relating to Peerage Cases, Family Disputes, Estates, Legal, Mercantile, and Local Matters, and a variety of other subjects:-the whole comprising several hundred pieces, with manuscript remarks, opinions, decisions, etc.-bound in 25 thick vols. 4to. hf. calf, chiefly uncut, £60. 1761-70

This very remarkable collection is probably UNIQUE, as the documents were evidently printed only for the use of the Court of Session, and it is likely that only half a dozen copies of each were struck off. To the Scottish genealogist and family historian it is altogether invaluable for the information relative to the domestic history of former times.
