ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF CENSORS,

TAIN AMENDMENTS PROPOSED TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE
OF VERMONT.

JOURNAL.

On the first Wednesday of January, A.D. 1843, it being the 4th day of January, A.D. 1843, pursuant to the Ordinance of the Council of Censors, made on the 14th day of February, A.D. 1842, the Delegates, from the several towns in the State of Vermont, met at Montpelier, for the purpose of taking into consideration the amendments, alterations and additions to the Constitution of the State of Vermont, proposed by the Council of Censors, on the 14th day of February, A.D. 1842.

The Convention being called to order by Mr. FULLAM, of Ludlow, DANIEL KELLOGG, of Rockingham, was appointed Chairman, pro tempore,

JEREMIAH T. MARSTON, of Montpelier, Secretary, pro tempore, and

BRADLEY BARLOW, of Fairfield, Assistant Secretary, pro tempore.

The following named persons appeared, produced their credentials and took their seats as Members of the Convention, viz :
