STATE OF NEW YORK,

IN SENATE, April 28, 1885. } Resolved (if the assembly concur), That there be prepared, under the direction of the Lieutenant-Governor, Secretary of State, and Clerks of the Senate and Assembly, a revision of the Legislative Manual, to correspond, as regards form, binding, printing and indexing, with the recommendations of the Literature Committee, as presented to the Senate January 24th, 1865, and that the Secretary of State cause the same to be published by contract, in such form as the committee of revision may direct, and a copy thereof delivered, as soon as practicable after the commencement of each session of the Legislature, to each of the members, officers and reporters thereof, and to each of the state officers who are entitled to copies of the session laws, with the name of such member or officer lettered on the cover, together with a map of the state, exhibiting the route of all canals and railroads that are finished or in course of construction.
