At a meeting of the Canal Board, held Wednesday, April 4, 1877, the following resolution was adopted: "By Mr. Ross: "Resolved, That the Legislature be respectfully requested to modify the toll sheet of 1877, heretofore transmitted, so as to permit a reduction of fifty per cent of the toll upon domestic salt."
