A bill relating to the organization of corporations for the establishment and maintenance of hospitals, asylums or institutions for the care, treatment or relief of insane or feebleminded persons, and amendatory of chapter 86 of the revised statutes, entitled "of the organization of corporations," Were rejected.

The ayes and noes being demanded, it was decided in the negative; ayes, 12; noes, 20; not voting, 1.

Strike out in subdivision 10 all after the word taxation. and insert in lieu thereof, for the period of five years.

Amend by adding to subdivision 10" For the exclusive treatment of residents in this state."

Strike out the words, so long as the same shall continue to be so used," and insert in place thereof the words, "for the term of twenty years.”
