No. 146, S., A bill relating to the organization of corporations, and amendatory of section 1771 of chapter 86 of the revised statutes, Were laid over until March 8th, and No. 147, S.. A bill relating to corporations and amendatory of section 1 of chapter 133 of the general laws of the year 1881, entitled an act relating to corporations, and amendatory of section 1775 of the revised statutes, Until March 7th. Senator Flint offered the following amendment to A bill for the better protection of the public health. Strike out the words" or otherwise" from the fourth line of said section in the printed bill. Amend section three as follows: Strike out the words "the health officer or to some member of," as they occur in line four of said section in the prrinted bill, and add at end of said section: Provided that the notices herein required may be sent by mail, or except in the case of cities may be given to, or left at the residence of, any member of the Board of Health: and notices so mailed or given within the time specified, shall be deemed a compliance with the provisions of this section." Amend section 5 as follows: strike out all after the word "be," as it occurs in line 5 of the said section in the printed bill, and insert in lieu thereof the words "for the benefit of the school fund."
