To the Honorable, the Legislature of Wisconsin:

The State Librarian respectfully presents his report for the year 1882, as required by law:

The principal additions made during the past year were the reports of the courts of Scotland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Lower Canada, and the latest statutes of each. The latest compiled and revised statutes of all the states and territories have also been obtained. The sets of reports have all been kept up, and the latest digests and text-books purchased.

A list of books purchased is annexed hereto, and marked Appendix A. A list of those received by exchange and donation is marked Appendix B.
