To the Honorable, the Legislature of Wisconsin: The State Librarian respectfully presents his report for the year 1882, as required by law: At the close of 1881 the number of volumes in the Library was 14,78% 785 Added by exchange and donation in 1882... 479 Added under Chapter 282, Laws of 1882 (cases and briefs in 234 Total additions in 1882. 1,498 Number of volumes in library December 31st, 1882. 16, 285 The principal additions made during the past year were the reports of the courts of Scotland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Lower Canada, and the latest statutes of each. The latest compiled and revised statutes of all the states and territories have also been obtained. The sets of reports have all been kept up, and the latest digests and text-books purchased.
