3. I do hope, you do also know, that fo far as Chrift hath taught us, we ought to be obedient to him: that which he taught which was Notional , we ought to believe; that which he taught, which was practical, we ought to obey. Now confider, laying on of hands is a practical Doctrine,as is manifeft by the Apoftles actings and the Saints obedience, Ads 8. 17. Aus 19.6. Now let the oppofers of this truth of Chrift fhew, where ever laying on

But from the former part of his discourse we may obferve two things:

2. His granting what we contend for, viz. that every Doctrine of Chrift which he commands to be taught by his Apoftles, and his Difciples were commanded to observe and practise, ought to be practifed; this is that we do affirm; and therefore: do contend for this truth or Doctrine of Chrift with him and others that do oppose it: For did Chrift teach it, as you have heard, and did the Apostles teach it, as you fhall hear in the next reason for the proof of this truth; and did Baptized believers, as fuch, obferve and practise it, as Als 8. 17.
