mind. And when to great beauty of execution, one feels that he can safely add the praise of high accuracy, as far as learning, like Mr. Greswell's, can insure it, nothing more need be said on the merit of the work."

BRITISH MAG. Feb. 7, 1834.

"This admirably contrived as well as beautifully executed map is adapted to the divisions existing at the time of our Saviour's appearing on the earth. The reference being subjoined to the depicted events, it forms a most valuable auxiliary in the lecture-room, and a useful assistant in the study of divinity."-Rev. Thomas Hartwell

GEOGRAPHICAL, Horne's Introduction, p. 356, Vol. 2.

CHRONOLOGICAL, and HISTORICAL CHART; being a Delineation of the Rise and Progress of the Evangelical or Christian Dispensation, from the Commencement of the Gospel Narrative to the Ascension of our Lord. Arranged, by permission, according to the

"We have never seen the attempt made in combination with so many useful objects, or executed with any thing like the graphical beauty of the present work." CONGREGATIONAL MAG. Feb. 1824.

"Harmonia Evangelica" of the Rev. EDW. GRESWELL, A PICTORIAL, GEOGRAPHICAL,

B.D. Fell. Corp. Chris. Coll. Oxford, by Mr. R. MIMPRISS, and accompanied by a KEY.

The Geography is adapted to the divisions existing at the time of our Saviour's appearing on the earth; shewing the situation of every place mentioned in the Gospels, with representations of the journeys of our Lord; and the principal circumstances of the Gospel History, drawn upon the places where the events occurred, from designs of the old masters; being peculiarly suitable to shew the benevolent tendency of our Saviour's miracles; containing 170 vignettes, and about 600 references: engraved in a very bold style, by I. C. ZEItter.

CHRONOLOGICAL, and HISTORICAL CHART of the ACTS of the APOSTLES, with the Epistles chronologically arranged. By Mr. R. MIMPRISS. Being a continuation of the History of the Gospel Dispensation, and Companion to that just published, of "Our Lord's Ministry."

The signal success which attended the publication of a Chart, shewing the Ministry of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, commencing with the Gospel Narrative, and ending with our Lord's Ascension into Heaven, affording the most conclusive testimony of the advantages of instruction conveyed through the eye, has induced the compiler to publish as a companion, "The ACTS of the APOSTLES," Mounted on Canvas and Roller, with Fifty Marginal drawn on the places of the occurrence of those events to embellished with the utmost possible number of Vignettes,

Illustrations, £3. 13s. 6d. unvarnished; and £4. 1s. 6d. varnished.

*** A simple apparatus, consisting of a mahogany lath and balance weight, for raising and lowering the Chart, may be had, price 7s. 6d. (4365)

The attention of the friends and promoters of Scriptural Education is respectfully solicited to the following very flattering testimonials :

"It is unavoidable in a scheme like that of your Chart, that it appears at first sight crowded and perplexed by the multitude of its details: followed up, however, by the aid of the Key, it becomes simple and distinct; and I have no doubt, when once studied and understood, will be thought to have realized your proposed object, as well as any thing of the kind that could have been attempted."-Extracts of a Letter received by R. Mimpriss, from the Rev. Edward Greswell, B.D. &c. &c.

"It is beautifully engraved, and being accompanied by a Key, it forms an admirable assistant to any person who wishes to acquire with facility an accurate knowledge of the events recorded in the four Evangelists. We strongly recommend it to Biblical students, as well as to families and schools, and also for lecture-rooms. The pictorial illustrations are of great service for riveting the events in the memory."-CHRISTIAN OBSERVER for December 1832. "We have watched the progress of this extraordinary and unique undertaking, from its commencement to its close; and we have always entertained but one opinion of its design and execution. The lecture-room, the study of the divine, and every seminary for the young, ought to be ornamented and improved by this splendid illustration of the history of our blessed Lord." EVANGELICAL MAG. for December 1832.

This is a very ingenious attempt to display, at one view, all the interesting circumstances recorded in the Gospels, in the order in which they occurred: the whole is admirably calculated to impress on the mind of the

The amazingly extensive tract of country traversed by the Apostles, necessarily interfering with the pictorial display exhibited in the Chart of our Lord's Ministry, a somewhat different plan is adopted. "This Chart is really not only very beautiful, but very useful. There is nothing more difficult than to keep before one's mind the order of our Lord's journeys, and their direction. This Chart brings each journey before the eye, and nothing can more effectually fix things in the
