WILSON'S NEW FRENCH SCHOOL DICTIONARY.

FRENCH and ENGLISH, and ENGLISH and FRENCH SCHOOL DICTIONARY. By the Rev. JOSEPH WILSON, late Professor of French in St. Gregory's College. Pocket size, 5s. bound and lettered.

In the compilation of this Dictionary, no labour has been spared to render it complete in every desirable particular. The plan has been adopted, after a careful examination of the Dictionaries already in existence; whatever was deemed excellent in each has been freely followed, while their numerous deficiencies have been supplied, and their superfluities retrenched. The details of the work have been most laboriously attended to, the genders of the French nouns have been vigilantly examined, the English accentuation is marked, the definitions and their inflections have been accurately distinguished, and a multitude of professional and technical phrases are introduced. The Vocabularies, christian, mythological, historical, and geographical, are rendered almost indispensable by the increasing intercourse of the French with other nations; and it is believed this Dictionary will be found the most comprehensive of all the small editions before the public.
