THE QUEEN!—THE COUNCIL ! — THE CORONATION ! MR. MOON, HER MAJESTY'S PUBLISHER, 20, THREADNEEDLE STREET, has the honour to announce the following important WORKS of ART: BY SPECIAL AUTHORITY. THE NATIONAL, AND FIRST FULL-LENGTH, PORTRAIT OF HER MOST GRACIOUS MAJESTY THE CORONATION.-A combination of circumstances, equally flattering and gratifying, enables Mr. MooN now definitely to announce that, by THE QUEEN, arrayed in the Robes and SPECIAL AUTHORITY, MR. E. T. PARRIS'S GRAND Jewels of the Official Costume worn on the occasion of her First Public Act-DISSOLVING THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT. By Express Command, painted by A. E. CHALON, Esq. R.A. ENGRAVING ON A REDUCED SCALE. In order to bring this, the standard and first authentic and authorised, Portrait of our beloved Sovereign within the means of all classes of society, Mr. Moon has resolved to issued a fresh Engraving from this Picture, equally effective and elaborate in execution, and calculated to form the most desirable Cabinet Portrait of Her Majesty hitherto submitted to public scrutiny. "Mr. Chalon has just finished a drawing of our young Queen, which we think may take its place as the portrait, whether in the right of the likeness, which is faithful and characteristic, or in right of its artistical treatment." ATHENEUM. "It was painted at the express command of the Queen, who has presented it to her mother, the Duchess of Kent, as an offering of filial affection. It is a truly regal portrait, and is the first portrait of Queen Victoria painted since her accession to the throne."-TIMES. "The portrait is truly a master-piece-as a work of art, tasteful and beautiful in design, yet with a perfect truth, a historical accuracy worthy of the occasion-as a portrait admirably like-and as a memorial of her Majesty, and the first great incident of her reign, it will rank with works called national."-ATLAS. SIR DAVID WILKIE'S GRAND HISTORICAL PICTURE, REPRESENTING OUR SOVEREIGN PRESIDING AT THE COUNCIL, UPON HER MAJESTY'S ACCESSION TO THE THRONE, JUNE 20th, 1837. Mr. MooN has just received this National Historical Picture from Buckingham Palace, and having been commanded to place it in the hands of an eminent Engraver, begs to acquaint the Nobility and Gentry desirous of obtaining early impressions of this splendid work, that it will be necessary to insert their names as early as possible, as the impressions will be delivered in the order of subscription. Portraits of the following Illustrious Personages are introduced: HISTORICAL PAINTING OF THE CORONATION will be entrusted to him for immediate publication. For the treatment of this, the most interesting and important incident of the present day, Mr. Parris has secured the most exalted patronage, and commanded the most perfect success. The grand picture-the chef-d'œuvre of the talented and popular artist-unites, to an extraordinary extent, the most minute and accurate fidelity, with a grandeur of effect, and a permanent historical interest, infinitely surpassing any similar work of art hitherto attempted. During the progress of the magnificent ceremonial, Mr. Parris was allowed, for the purposes of this picture, to avail himself of the most eligible situations, and he has in consequence pourtrayed the scene with a scrupulous fidelity. Subsequently, he has had the advantage of sittings from a greater portion of the illustrious personages present, of whom original portraits will be introduced, assembled round the throne of our youthful Sovereign. Not only are all the GREAT OFFICERS of STATE, the FOREIGN VISITORS, and the ATTENDANT COURTIERS, introduced in their respective situations, but near her Majesty is gathered a rich galaxy of female loveliness, arrayed in all the gorgeous and glittering costumes which the occasion required. In addition to the original portraits of the attendant members of the Royal Family, of the Duke of Nemours, and other illustrious visitors, of the Resident and Extraordinary Ambassadors, of the Maids of Honour, and of many members of the Court in immediate attendance on Her Majesty, Marchionessof Londonderry. Earl of Albemarle. Countess of Chesterfield. Countess of Cowper. The following Personages will occupy commanding and prominent stations in the foreground of the Picture :Archbishop of Canterbury. Archbishop of York. Archbishop of Armagh. Lord Chancellor. Duke of Devonshire. Duke of Sutherland. Duke of Wellington. Duke of Norfolk. Duke of Richmond. Duchess of Sutherland. Duchess of Richmond. Duchess of Bedford. Duchess of Buccleugh. Duchess of Northumberland. Duchess of Hamilton. Duchess of Somerset. Marquis of Lansdowne. Marquis of Westminster. Marquis of Stafford. Marchioness of Lansdowne. Marchioness of Normanby. Marchioness of Clanricarde. Marchioness of Tavistock. Countess of Wilton. Bishop of Winchester. This great Work of Art will, with the Grand Portrait of Her Majesty by Chalon, and the Queen's First Council by Sir David Wilkie, form a part of the REGAL GALLERY of PICTURES illustrating the incidents of the Reign of Queen Victoria, which Mr. Moon has arranged to produce as events may require.
