Sweepstakes for all ages, 20gs each, for any horfe, &c. three yr old colts to carry 6ft. 7lb. and fillies, 6ft. 5lb. four yr old colts, 7ft. 11lb. and fillies, 7ft. 9lb. five yr old horfes and mares, 8ft. 5lb. fix yr olds, 8ft. 10lb. and aged, 8ft. 12lb.--one 2-mile heat. Maiden horfes and inares allowed 3lb. extra. The winner of any of the three Subfcriptions at York in 1801, or of a King's Plate, to carry 3lb.

A Sweepstakes of 20gs each, for colts and fillies, then two yrs old; colts to carry 8ft. and fillies, 7ft. 12lb. the last three quarters of a mile.

A Hunters' Stakes of 10gs each, free for any horfe, &c. that never won 50l. at one time, and that has been regularly hunted, the preceding feafon, a certificate of which must be produced to Mr. W. B. Robinson, Malton, before ftarting; to carry 12ft. each, and to be rode by Gentlemen.

The Subfcribers to the Hunters' Stakes must name to Mr. W. B. Robinfon, Malton, or Mr. E. W. Rhodes, York, on or before the first of March next, 1802; and all Subfcribers to the other Stakes muft name in like manner, on or before the 5th of February.

DURHAM

DURHAM RACES, 1802.

O be run for, on the Smiddy Haughs, near the City of Durham, on Wednesday the 28th of April, a Maiden Plate of 50l. for colts, &c. then rifing three yrs old; colts to carry 8ft. 3lb. fillies, 8ft. -2-mile heats.

On Thursday the 29th of April, the Lambton Hunt Stakes, by hunters, carrying 12ft. for 5gs each;-2-mile heats. (10 Subfcribers, or no race.) To be named to the Clerk of the Courfe on or before the 31st of March.

On Friday the 30th of April, rool. being sol. given by the Members for the City, with 50l. added by Sir H. V. Tempeft, Bart. for any horfe, &c. that never won above the value of 5ol. two yr olds, but. three yr olds, 8ft. four yr olds, 8ft. 7ib. five yr olds, 8ft. 12b. fix yr olds and aged, 9ft.-4-mile heats. The winner of a 5ol. or the Catterick Stakes, this year, to carry 3lb. extra. Mares and fillies allowed 3lb.

On Saturday the 1ft of May, 5ol. given by the Members for the County, being a Maiden Plate, for all ages; three yr olds (this day) 6ft. 6lb. four yr olds, 8ft. 2b. five yr olds, 8ft. Sib. fix yr olds, Sft. 12lb. and aged, 9ft. 2lb.-heats, 3 miles. Mares and fillies allowed 2lb.

All horfes, &c. for the Plates, to be entered at the Guildhall, in the City of Durham, on Saturday the 17th of April, between the hours of twelve and two in the day; and certificates of the ages and qualifications of all horfes, &c. under the hands of the breeders, to be then and there produced.
