Sweeper is a most beautiful black horfe, with a remarkable small head, near fifteen hands and a half high, full of bone, capital action, and was a good runner. At 2 yrs old, he won a Sweepstakes of 15gs each, 7 Subfcribers; and was fecond to Rally, giving her 17lb. when 8 ftarted, for the Handicap Plate for 2 yr olds; at 3 yrs old, he beat Bella Donna, Ab. M. 50gs; and was fecond to Halkin,, when 10 started, for the Plate for all ages, two middle miles of B. C. at 4 yrs old, he won a gol. Plate at Huntingdon, 4-mile heats; at Chelmsford, he ran three 4-mile heats, with Coriander, the winner of the Whip, and Portland; was 1, 2, 2, carried 3lb. extra. At Enfield, for the 3 and 4 yr old Plate, four heats, he ran agft Misfortune and II others, giving 2ft. for the year, the first heat a dead one, and came in as follows, 0, 1, 3, 2: at 5 and 6 yrs old, he was out of training; at 7 yrs oid, he won a Sweepstakes of 25gs each, Across the Flat, beating Minion (late Misfortune) Sir Solomon, and Oat-eater; he again beat Sir Solomon, Ab. M. 5ogs; he won the fecond Clafs of the July Oatlands Stakes, Acrofs the Flat, beating Edgar, Peeping Tom, Cannons, Buckingham, &c. he won a 50l.
