My Lord of Excytyr gaf me this other weke a dignyte
in his churche of Excytyr that is worth as I am cre-

yow to know that when I came to Bourdoux the vedimus that I hade stode me in no stede, wherefor I, be the counsell of John Fawyn and Galyard, rede unto the Kynggs Cowrtt; for the Constable of Bourdoux wyld nott delyver the wyn with owte he had a dyscharge fro the Kyng, and fro hys Lorde the whiche he is cowntable unto; for the whiche dyscharge and lettre fro the Kyng to the Cownstable of Bourdoux Maister Doctor Langton hath had grett labour and cost upon me (and my hors 1), wherfore I beseche your Lordshipp thank hym.
