An objection to the winner. on the ground that his jockey returned to correct his weight after the horse was once under the Starter's orders, no accident having occurred, was referred to the Stewards of the Jockey Club. They heard the objection on the first day of Epsom, and decided that the horse was not to be disqualified, but that the Clerk of the Scales was to be fined 15 sov, and the Starter 10 sov., for allowing Rule 31 (viii) to be infringed, and the trainer of Bache lor fined 2 sov. for declaring a wrong weight.
