Amend the amendment by striking out "thirty-five thousand eight hundred and ninety-two dollars and forty-six cents," and insert in lieu thereof, "thirty-eight thousand seven hundred and eighty-one dollars."

Adopted.

The amendment as amended was then adopted.

Senator Price offered the following amendment to the bill.
Add a new section, to be section 2:

Section 2. The managers of said school are hereby empowered and authorized to settle with the Milwaukee & Madison Railway Company for the right of way used by said company in crossing the land of the state, occupied by said industrial school for boys, in such manner and upon such terms as they may deem best for the state, and may direct their president to deed said right of way to said railway company.

Also renumber section 2 to be section 3.

The amendment was adopted.

The bill was then ordered engrossed and read a third time.
Senator Richardson offered the following amendment to

A bill to appropriate to the State Hospital for the Insane certain sums of money for current expenses and special purposes, Amend the amendment by adding at the end thereof:

For fire proof elevator, two thousand dollars.

For iron stairs, five hundred dollars.
