SUPERINTENDENT SECTIONS.*

The Canals of this State are divided into the following Superintendent Sections:

EASTERN DIVISION.

CHAMH CAIN CANAL. SECTION No. 1. Extending from the foot of the guard-lock on the south side of the Mohawk river, to the foot of the first lock north of Saratoga dam, a distance of 24 miles. JAMES DOUGREY, JR., Superintendent.

SECTION No. 2. Extending from the first lock north of Saratoga dam to Dunham's basin, including waste-weir at that place, and Glens Falls feeder, a distance of 24 miles. GEORGE SHANNON, Superintendent.

SECTION NO. 3. Extending from Dunham's basin to Lake Champlain, at Whitehall, a distance of 20 miles. JOHN W. ING ALLS, Superintendent.

BLACK RIVER CANAL. Consolidated into one Superintendent Section, extending from the Erie canal at Rome to Carthage. SAMUEL F. GARMON, Superintendent.

ERIE CANAL.

SECTION No. 1. This section extends from the south end of the Albany basin to the west end of Lower Mohawk aqueduct, including West Troy and Port Schuyler side-cuts, and Champlain canal, from its junction with the Erie canal to a point 200 feet north of the guard-lock at Cohoes on the south side of Mohawk

SECTION No. 2. Extends from the west end of the Lower Mohawk aqueduct to the head of lock number 27. B. WAN WBANKEN, Superintendent.

SECTION NO. 3. Extends from the head of lock 27 to head of lock 34, including Schoharie Creek feeder, CHARLES ZIELLEY, Superintendent.

SECTION No. 4. Extends from the head of lock 34 to the easterly line of the county of Oneida. REUBEN C. PETRIE, Superintendent.

SECTION No. 5. Extends from the east line of the county of Oneida to the west side of Peterboro street bridge, in the village

of Canastota. JOSEPH FAAS, Superintendent.

CHENANGO CANAL.

Consolidated into one Superintendent Section, extending front

the Erie canal at Utica to Binghamton. - , Superintendent.

ONEIDA LAKE CANAL AND FEEDER.

OSWEGO CANAL.

SECTION No. 1. Extends from o: to Three River Point, including Seneca river oš and the Baldwinsville canal. ALEXANDER HAMILL, Superintendent.

SECTION No. 2. Extends from Three River Point to Oswego,

including the Oneida River Improvement. HIRAM FOX, Superintendent.

CAYUGA AND SENECA CANAL. Extends from Erie canal at Montezuma to Geneva, on Señeca lake, with a branch to Cayuga lake. JAS. A. FLANAGAN, Superintendent.

CROOKED LAKE CANAL.

Extends from Dresden, on Seneca lake, to Penn Yan, on Crooked lake.

SECTION No. 11. To extend from the head of the guard-lock west of Lockport, to the city of Buffalo ; including Main and Hamburg street, and Clark and Skinner canals: the Erie and Ohio basins, with their slips, and Black Rock harbor. , Superintendent.

GENESEE WALLEY CANAL.

Consolidated into one Superintendent Section, extending from #. o at Rochester, to Allegany river, with branch to ansville.
