In accordance with the provision of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, the first session of the filieenib General Assembly of said State convenud at the city of Springfield, on Monday the seventh day of December, A. D. 1316.

Mr. Boyakin called the House to order; and on, his motion, Mr. UNDER Wood, of St. Clair, was appointed Speaker pro tem.; Join McDonALD, of Faycttc county, Clerk pro tem.; and MURRAT MCCONNELL, of Morgan county, Assistani Clerk pro lem.

On motion, the House adjourned till 2 o'clock P. M.

Two o'clock, P. M.

House met pursuant to adjournment.

On motion of Mr. Boyakin, Join A. Wilson, of Hamilton county, was appointed Door-keeper pro tem.

On motion of Mr. Denuing,
Resolved, That this House now proceed to call the roll of counties al.
phabetically, and to receive certificates of election from such members as
may appear to be in attendancc.

Whereupon,
The following members appeared, were qualified by James W. Keyes,
Est., and took their seats. viz:
