Fernanda Cravidão é Geógrafa (1974) e Professora Catedrática(1997) da Universidade de Coimbra. Docente e investigadora desde 1975. Desde esta data tem desempenhado funções muitos diversas quer em gestão quer no domínio da Investigação em várias Licenciaturas, Mestrados e Doutoramentos em Universidades nacionais e estrangeiras. Coordenadora do Doutoramento em Turismo, Lazer e Património. Responsável pela Cátedra da UNESCO Turismo Cultural e Desenvolvimento atribuída ao Mestrado Lazer, Património e Desenvolvimento. Integra o Centro de Estudos de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território (CEGOT). Membro do Conselho Científico de várias revista nacionais e estrangeiras. Member of IGU Commission on Evolving Issues of Geographyhical Marginality in the Early 21st Century World Cerca de duas centenas de trabalhos entre, livros, capítulos de livros, artigos, atas em diversos países: Brasil, Estados Unidos, Espanha, Argentina, Reino Unido, Índia, Israel, Taiwan, entre outros.
She holds a Degree in Geography (1974) and became a Professor of Geography at the University of Coimbra in 1997. She has been a teacher and a researcher since 1975, and has has performed a variety of roles, in management and in research, on various First Degrees, Masters and Doctorates in domestic and foreign universities. She is coordinator of the Doctorate in Toursim, Leisure and Heritage. She is responsible for the UNESCO Chair of Cultural Tourism and Development attributed to the Master’s Degree in Tourism, Leisure and Heritage.She is also a member of the Geographical and Territorial Planning Studies Centre (CEGOT); she is on the research committees of many national and international journals and is a member of the IGU Commission on Evolving Issues of Geographical Marginality in the Early 21st Century World. She has published approximately two hundred pieces of work, including books, articles and conference proceedings in many different countries including Brazil, the United States, Spain, Argentina, the United Kingdom, India, Israel and Taiwan. Norberto Pinto dos Santos é geógrafo e doutor em Geografia Humana. Professor Associado com Agregação no Departamento de Geografia da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra e Investigador no Centro de Estudos de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território, ao longo dos anos de carreira universitária tem desenvolvido trabalhos na área da Geografia Social e Económica, do Lazer, do Turismo e do Ordenamento do Território. Integrou diversos projetos de investigação de que se salientam Dinamismos sócio-económicos e (re)organização territorial: processos de urbanização e reestruturação produtiva, Dinâmicas dos Espaços produtivos e reprodutivos locais: A mobilidade dos investimentos e desenvolvimento das cidades médias, Organização e revitalização dos territórios rurais, Portugal e as Contradições da Modernidade – Território, desenvolvimento e marginalidade. Publicou dois livros: Lazer. Da libertação do tempo à conquista das práticas. Imprensa da Universidade, CEG, Coimbra (2008) (em colaboração) e A sociedade de consumo e os espaços vividos pelas famílias, Edições Colibri, Lisboa (2001). É Membro da Direção da Associação Portuguesa de Geógrafos, desde 2008; Diretor do curso em Turismo, Lazer e Património, desde 2009. Foi Presidente da Comissão Científica do Instituto de Estudos Geográficos, Coordenador do Centro de estudos Geográficos, Presidente da Comissão de Supervisão do Ramo de Formação Educacional da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, Diretor do Instituto de Estudos Geográficos da Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra, Membro da Assembleia da Universidade de Coimbra, Vogal do Conselho Diretivo da Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra.
He is a geographer and holds a Doctorate in Human Geography. He is a Full Professor in the Geography Department of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra and is a researcher at the Centre for the Study of Geography and Territorial Planning. Throughout his university career he has developed work in the areas of social and economic geography, economic geography, leisure, tourism and territorial planning, and he has been part of several research projects of which the following are of particular note: Social-economic dynamism and the (re)organization of the territory: the processes of urbanisation and productive restructuration; Dynamics of local productive and reproductive spaces: the mobility of investment and development of medium-sized cities; Organization and revitalisation of rural areas, Portugal and the contradictions of modernity – territory, development and marginality. He has published two books: Lazer. Da libertação do tempo à conquista das práticas [“Leisure. From the liberation of time to the conquering of practices.”] Coimbra: Coimbra University Press (2008) (co-author); A sociedade de consumo e os espaços vividos pelas famílias [“Consumer Society and the places where families live.”] Lisbon: Edições Colibri (2001). He has been a member of the Management Committee of the Portuguese Association of Geographers since 2008; Director of the Degree in Tourism, Leisure and Heritage since 2009. He was President of the Scientific Commission of the Geographical Studies Society, Coordinator of the Geographical Studies Centre, President of the Commission on the Supervision of Educational Training at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, Director of the Institute of Geographical Studies at Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra, member of the Assembly of the University of Coimbra, member of the Management Council of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra.
