WEDNESDAY, June 5th, 1895.

The Holy Communion was celebrated by the Bishop, assisted by Rev. C. S. Sargent, Rev. J. E. Cathell and Rev. Chas. T. Stout.

The Convention was called to order.

The Committee on Credentials reported:

The Committee on Credentials respectfully report that lay delegates are entitled to seats according to the accompanying list.

In regard to organized missions we find there is no canonical provision for admitting them, and we recommend that this matter be referred to the Committee on Canons.

The roll of lay delegates was called and a quorum of that order found to be present.

On motion of Lewis B. Martin, by unanimous consent, the ballot being dispensed with, the Rev. Willis D. Engle was re-elected Secretary.

On motion of Rev. J. E. Cathell it was

Resolved, That the especial gratitude of the clergy and laity of this Diocese is justly due, and is hereby tendered to, the Standing Committee, the Trustees and the Treasurer of the Diocese for the prompt, wise and efficient manner in which the affairs of the Diocese were directed and administered during the recent inter-regnum of the Episcopate of Indiana.

On motion of John H. Stotsenburg it was

Resolved, That our deputies to the General Convention be, and are hereby, instructed to ask the Convention that power be delegated to the Commission on Christian Unity to invite the various organized Christian bodies to appoint commissioners to meet with the said Commission at a convenient place and fixed time for a general conference as to the terms of union proposed to the Christian world by our branch of the Church, and to report the result of such conference or of any plan of union agreed upon, to the governing powers. of their respective churches.

C. E. Brooks, Treasurer, submitted his second annual report, which was accepted.

During the latter part of 1894, Bishop Knickerbacker placed in

the hands of the Treasurer the following trust funds:

In regard to the funds of the Diocesan Convention, I make the following report:

The assessments upon this and other Diocesan property have been very large during the past year; but as they are largely for sewers it is to be hoped that the expense for this purpose will be smaller in future.

The large payment for delinquent taxes was made necessary by an error in description made in the County Auditor's office; but it is expected that a great part of the amount so paid (nearly ninety per cent.) will be refunded to us shortly.

The total amount received from parishes and missions for the assessments, offerings and apportionments, canonically ordered,

including the special offering for the support of the Archdeacon, was $5,992.08 divided about as follows:
