Your Committee No. 6, on Live Stock, to whom was recommitted House Bill No. 3, beg leave to report as follows: That said bill be amended as follows:

Sec. 1, line 4 of the printed bill, in place of the word "two" substitute the word "one" and in place of the word "five" substitute the word "four." After the word "dollars" at the end of line 4, insert the words "for each mountain lion so destroyed, four dollars."

Add to Section 2: "Provided, however, That any number of individuals may organize for the purpose of paying a private bounty for any of the animals named in Section 1 of this Act, and shall forward to the County Clerk of the county in which such organization is formed, a copy of the pioceedings of such organization, which shall define the boundaries of the territory in which such private bounty shall by them be paid, and the names of the treasurer and other

officers of such organization. It shall then be lawful for the treasurer of such organization to pay to any person presenting the skin of any such animal, accompanied by the affidavit of such person and a corroborative affidavit provided for in this Section, to pay such person in addition to the private bounty the bounty provided for in Section 1 of this Act. And it shall be the duty of the County Clerk, whenever such skins shall be presented to him by such Treasurer, together with the requisite affidavits, and the affidavit of such Treasurer that he has paid such State bounty and also the private bounty provided for in this Section, to issue to such Treasurer a certificate for such State bounty, and such skins shall be treated in all respects in the same manner as skins presented by the persons killing said animals."

Section 12, line 4, after the word "punished," strike out the balance of the Section and substitute the words "as provided by law."

And that as amended the said H. B. No. 3 do pass.
