REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

The following reports were thereupon received from standing committees of the House, and read:

Fifth Legislature of the State of Wyoming,

Mr. Speaker:

House of Representatives,

Cheyenne, Feb. 11th, 1899.

Your Committee No. 27, to whom was referred H. B. No. 108, beg leave to report as follows:

That the same is herewith returned correctly printed except the transposition of two sections.

Mr. Speaker:

C. LEWIS,

Chairman.

House of Representatives,

Cheyenne, Feb. 11th, 1899.

Your Committee No. 22, to whom was referred House Bill No. 122, beg leave to report the same back with a recommendation that it do pass, for the following reasons:

We find that there are 3,268 applications on file for the pamphlet known as "The State of Wyoming," containing information concerning the resources of the State. We find that these requests are coming in daily and that there are no pamphlets on hand, for the purpose of giving the in

formation asked for, or of complying with the request for

same.

We further find that this pamphlet can be printed and published at this time cheaper than at any other time, for the reason that the type which was set to print the said pamphlet is still set up, and for that reason it will not require the large expenditure for composition work, and for the further reason that we believe the proper advertisement of the State through the medium of this pamphlet would result in more good to the State than the cost of publishing the same.

Very respectfully submitted,
CHARLES SWANSON,

Chairman.

Fifth Legislature of the State of Wyoming,
House of Representatives,
Cheyenne, Feb. 11th, 1899.

Mr. Speaker:
