2 Ready the Father is to own,
And kiss his late returning son.
Ready your loving Saviour stands,
And spreads for you his bleeding hands.
3 Ready the Spirit of his love,

Just now the stony to remove:
T' apply and witness with the blood,
And wash, and seal the sons of God.
4 Ready for you the angels wait,
To triumph in your blest estate:
Tuning their harps, they long to praise
The wonders of redeeming grace.

5 The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,.
Are ready with their shining host:

All heaven is ready to resound,

"The dead's alive! the lost is found!" W.

1 HARK! the gospel news is sounding,

Christ hath suffered on the tree;

Streams of mercy are abounding;

Grace, for all, is rich and free,

Now, poor sinner, look to Him who died for thee!
2 Oh! escape to yonder mountain,
Now begin to watch and pray;
Christ invites you to the fountain,
Come, and wash your sins away,

Do not tarry, Come to Jesus while you may.

3 Grace is flowing, like a river,

Millions there have been supplied;

Still it flows as fresh as ever,

From the Saviour's wounded side;

None need perish, all may live, for Christ hath died.

4 Christ alone shall be our portion;

Soon we hope to meet above, Then we'll bathe in the full ocean Of the great Redeemer's love;

All his fullness, we shall then for ever prove.

OD, the offended God, most high,
Ambassadors to rebels sends;
His messengers his place supply,

And Jesus begs us to be friends.
2 Us, in the stead of Christ, they pray,
Us, in the stead of God, entreat,
To cast our arms, our sins away,

And find forgiveness at his feet.
3 Our God in Christ, thine embassy,
And proffer'd mercy we embrace;
And gladly reconcil'd to thee,
Thy condescending mercy praise.
4 Poor debtors, by our Lord's request,
A full acquittance we receive!
And criminals with pardon blest,
We at our Judge's instance live.

2 Crown him, ye martyrs of
Who from his altar call;
Extol the stem of Jesse's rod,
And crown him Lord of all.

God,

3 Ye seed of Israel's chosen race,
Ye ransom'd from the fall;
Hail him, who saves you by his grace,
And crown him Lord of all.

4 Ye ransom'd Gentiles ne'er forget,
The wormwood and the gall;

Go, lay your honours at his feet,
And crown him Lord of all.

5 Let every kindred, every tribe,
Throughout this earthly ball,
To him all majesty ascribe,

And crown him Lord of all.
6 May we, amid the sacred throng,
Before him prostrate fall;
Join in the everlasting song,
And crown him Lord of all.

The Pleasantness of Religion.

APPY the man that finds the grace,
The blessings of God's chosen race,

The wisdom coming from above,

The faith that sweetly works by love.

2 Happy beyond description, he

Who knows "the Saviour died for me!"
The gift unspeakable obtains,

And heavenly understanding gains.
3 Wisdom divine! who tells the price
Of wisdom's costly merchandise?
Wisdom to silver we prefer,

And gold is dross compar'd to her.
4 Her hands are fill'd with length of days,
True riches, and immortal praise;
Riches of Christ, on all bestow'd,
And honour that descends from God.

5 To purest joys she all invites,
Chaste, holy, spiritual delights:
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her flow'ry paths are peace.
6 Happy the man who wisdom gains;
Thrice happy! who his guest retains ;

C

That we may all their glories share,
And drink the streams of love.

4 May tears be wip'd from all our eyes,
And we as kings appear;

And shine above the starry skies,
And join the triumphs there.

ISRAEL, blest beyond compare. How great thy rising glories are: Jehovah deigns to fill thy throne, And calls thy interest all his own. 2 He is thy Saviour, and thy Lord; His shield is thine; and thine his sword: His work surpasses human thought, A full redemption he hath wrought. 3 From Satan's yoke he sets thee free, Opens thy passage through the sea; He, through the desart is thy guide, And heaven for Canaan will provide. 4 Eternal Spirit, teach our tongue, Sublimer strains than Moses sung; Proportion'd to the mighty name, Of God the Saviour, and the Lamb. How pleasing is the sight!

It fills my soul with sweet surprize,
With pleasure and delight.

2 If now the sight delights me so,
How will my joys increase,
When I to realms of glory go,
Where all is joy and peace ?

3 Then I shall with my Saviour be,
And rest in pastures green;
