And resolutions in relation to the death of General Jackson. Mr. Lane, from the committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the bill, entitled "An act to remedy the deficiency in the jury lists in the county of Strafford," reported the same with sundry amendments.

The rules of the Senate were so far suspended as to enable him to introduce a resolution at the present time.

Mr. Lane offered a resolution, authorizing the Secretary of State to furnish to each of the incorporated academies in this State, a copy of the Geological and Mineralogical Survey of this State,

Which was read a first and second time.

Ordered, That said resolution be referred to the committee on Education.

Mr. Hale, from the committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the bill, entitled "An act in amendment of chapter 132 of the Revised Statutes," reported the same without amendment. On the question,
