Mr. Hale, from the committee on Education, to whom was referred the message of His Excellency the Governor, in relation to the Literary Fund, reported the following resolution:

Resolved, That the committee on Education be discharged from the further consideration of the message of His Excellency the Governor, and of the accompanying documents, both relating to the Literary Fund.

It was decided in the affirmative,

And the committee were accordingly discharged from the further consideration thereof.

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the orders of the day upon the resolutions relating to the army rolls of the revolution, the written journals of the Senate and House of Representatives, and the trophies of the battle of Bennington; Which were read a third time.

Resolved, That they pass.

Ordered, That the clerk ask the concurrence of the House of Representatives in the passage of the same.

Mr. Gibson, from the committee on Roads, Bridges and Canals, to whom was referred the bill, entitled "An act to unite the Worcester and Nashua Railroad Company and the Groton and Nashua Railroad Corporation," reported the same without amend

ment.

The question being,

Mr. Davis moved that said bill be postponed to the next session of the Legislature.
