On motion of Mr. Quimby Resolved, That the committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of so amending the 67th chapter of the Revised Statutes of the State of New Hampshire, that the court of common pleas shall be obliged to allow such sum or sums as shall be actually paid by. the several towns in the State, for clothing and support of county paupers, unless there has evidently been some mismanagement by said towns, in supporting and clothing said paupers. Mr. Pitman submitted the following resolution: Resolved, That the committee on Education be instructed to inquire into the expediency of reporting a bill, granting the public lands belonging to the State, to the county of Coos, to be appropriated for the benefit of common schools in said county. And the question being put upon the adoption of said resolution, It was decided in the negative.
