It was stated in the last annual report, that the freight tariff had been reduced, to take effect on the first day of May last. This reduction has secured to the road a large increase of business, that was formerly carried by teams through to Boston, and it is believed that the corporation has not suffered in consequence of this change. The passenger tariff was also reduced last fall, to take effect on the first day of November last. During the past year the trains have run regularly, with little or no interruption. No accidents have happened upon the road, either to passengers or property. All of which is respectfully submitted. ADDISON GILMORE, NATHAN CARRUTH, Directors. HILLSBOROUGH, SS. May 27, 1845.
