At the session of the General Assembly of the State of Delaware, convened and held at Dover, on Tuesday, the sixth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and of the independence of the United States of America the one hundred and ninth,

Messrs. Henry M. Barlow, Enoch Moore, Abram Palmer, Theodore F. Armstrong, William A. Comegys, John T. Wilson and Richard Ferguson, of New Castle County; and

Henry M. How, John F. Saulsbury, James Virden, Christian Gundy Brown, John H. Schabinger and Nicholas R. Johnson, of Kent County; and

John O. Truitt, David H. Atkins, Jacob H. Adams, John Tatman, W. R. McCabe, Jacob W. Cannon and Joseph B. Hearn, of Sussex County, appeared and took their seats.

William T. Watson, one of the members elect from Kent county, did not appear.

The late Clerk, E. W. Waples, called the House to order.

On motion of Mr. Saulsbury, Mr. Barlow was appointed Speaker pro tempore.

On motion of Mr. Saulsbury, Mr. Brown was appointed Clerk, pro tempore.

On motion of Mr. Saulsbury, the returns of the election for Representatives of the several Counties, were read.
