By Mr. Tennant:

Resolved, That the journal clerk of the Assembly be allowed ten days additional compensation after the adjournment of the Legislature, for writing up and completing the Journal, payable out of the contingent fund of the Assembly.

By Mr. Lockwood:

Resolved, That the Sergeants-at-Arms each be allowed five days pay for posting up books, and taking an inventory of the property belonging to the State in and about this chamber, and turning the same over to the proper authorities.

The Controller is hereby authorized and required to draw his warrant on the contingent fund of the Assembly, for the sum of fifty dollars in

favor of David Weaver, and for forty dollars in favor of H. P. Burnham. Adopted.

By Mr. Tennant:

Resolved, That John I. Ginn be, and he is, hereby declared to be the reporting clerk of the Assembly of the fifth session of the Nevada Legislature, from January 2d, 1871, to March 2d, 1871, inclusive.

Indefinitely postponed.

Your committee appointed to wait upon His Excellency the Governor, respectfully report that they have discharged the duty for which they were appointed, and that His Excellency the Governor instructed them to report to this honorable body that he has no further communications to make in relation to the business of the present session.

Your Standing Committee on Enrollment have had under consideration Assembly Bill No. 131: An Act to amend an Act entitled "An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of the several counties of this State to build or purchase buildings suitable for county purposes," approved March 10th, 1865.

Also, Assembly Bill No. 296: An Act to repeal section thirteen of the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the registration of the names of electors, and to prevent fraud at elections," and found them correctly enrolled. Also, Assembly Bill No. 248: entitled "An Act to provide for payment of the outstanding indebtedness of Churchill County," and find the same correctly enrolled, and have this day presented the same to the Governor for his approval.

Also, to inform your honorable body that Senators Hill and Phelan have been appointed a committee in compliance with concurrent resolution relative to joint committee, to wait on his Excellency the Governor.

Also, to return to your honorable body, Assembly Bill No. 226: an Act to amend an Act entitled "An Act to create counties and establish the boundaries thereof," approved November 25th, 1861, which was this day indefinitely postponed by the Senate, by the following vote: Yeas, 12; nays, 11.

Also, to return to your honorable body, Assembly Bill No. 229: an Act to amend an Act entitled "An Act to provide revenue for the support of

the government of the State of Nevada," the same having this day passed the Senate, by the following vote: Yeas, 12; nays, 5.
