Also, Senate Bill No. 578-An Act to authorize the Boards of Supervisors of the several counties of this State to grant franchises in their respective counties for clearing out streams not navigable, in their respective counties, and for using the waters of the same for rafting, floating and booming purposes-report back the same and recommend its passage.

Mr. PRESIDENT: Your Committee on Enrolment respectfully report that they have examined and find correctly enrolled Senate Bill No. 453 -An Act to empower the County of San Joaquin to aid in the construction of the Stockton and Visalia Railroad.

Also, Senate Bill No. 258-An Act to make, open and establish a public street in the City and County of San Francisco, to be called Montgomery Street South, and take private lands therefor.

Also, substitute for Senate Bill No. 293-An Act authorizing the parties therein named, their associates and assigns, to construct and maintain a ship canal from the City of Stockton to deep water on the San Joaquin River.

And this day, at one o'clock P. M., presented the same to the Governor for his approval.
