Plt'f demands the sum of £7 9s. 3d. Holland, for monthly wages earned by him on the Ketch of N. Davis whereof Def❜t is skipper, demands payment with costs.

Def't admits that Plt'f hath earned so much on said Ketch, but that he cannot pay unless being thereunto constrained by the W. Court.

The W. Court orders Def't to pay said monthly wages to the Plt'f inasmuch as the Plt'f hath earned it from him as Skipper on N. Davis' Ketch.

In the case in question between Martin Hardwyn on the one part and Fredric Phillipsen with Thomas Lewis on the other side, the W. Court nominated and authorized Sieur Paulus Richard and Jan Vinge who are hereby requested to hear the cause in question in presence of the Hr. Schepen Stephen Van Cortland and if possible to reconcile parties: otherwise to report their award to the Court.

In the case in question between Thomas Verdon, Plt'f, against Jan Herberdingh, Def't, the W. Court nominated and authorized as arbitrators Mr. Coenract Ten Eyck and Simon Jansen Romeyn who are hereby requested to hear the matter in dispute and if possible to reconcile parties or otherwise to report their award to the Court.

In the case in question between Jan Jansen Mol on the one part and John Schackerly on the other side, the W. Court appointed as arbitrators Hendrick Vandewater and Abraham Lubbertson to reconcile parties if possible, otherwise to report to the Court.

In the case in question between Gerritt Hendrickson Blau, Farmer, on the one side, and Dirck Jansen, Cooper, on the other side, the W. Court nominated and authorized as arbitrators Jacob Tunnison de Kay and Isaac Y. Van Vlecq to reconcile parties if possible or otherwise to report to the Court.

Teunis Cray appears in Court exhibits certain Judgment pronounced by this W. Court on the 3d October last against Allard Anthony late Sheriff, earnestly entreating this W. Court once again to take his most pitiable condition into consideration and to give order that the said Judg ment may be put into execution without further delay, to the end that he may again receive his disbursed money to use it in his old age.

Burgomasters and Schepens having considered the preceding petition, also the notice of the Court Messenger with said Allard Anthony answer thereupon grant petitioner his request and order the Heer Schout to put into execution on the estate of the above named A. Anthony, the said Judgment amounting to the sum of fl. 186, together with the incurred

costs.

The late H. Schout Anthony De Mill exhibits in Court certain Judgments pronounced against Jacob Smit, Turner, by this W. Court, in da te 30th January last, requesting execution thereupon, as he hath had him duly notified without having however received any satisfaction thereby.

The W. Court grants petitioner his request and order the H. Schout to put said Judgment into execution.

Dirck Jansen, Cooper, appearing in Court as guardian of Bruyn Haagen, late servant of Hendrick Bosch, exhibits in Court certain award of the arbitrators appointed respecting the binding out of said Bruyn Haagen, requesting that this W. Court may be pleased to approve it and to order the above named Bosch to observe and fulfil it.

The W. Court having seen and examined the said award together with the Indenture of said Bruyn Haagen made by the Notary Math de Vos, approve said award of the arbitrators and order said Hendrick Bosch to observe and fulfil the same and to pay the costs herein incurred. Costs together fl. 12.

Whereas, Def't hath not answered Plt'fs demands according to answer, last court day; it is therefore ordered that he, Def't, shall answer on the next court day, on pain of judgment, and the Plt'f is to have this notified to the Defendant by the court messenger.

Plt'f ordered to summon Def't de novo, as the Deft's guardian. Thomas Lammertsen hath undertaken and is likewise ordered to defend the case here.

Plt'fs declare that defendants, last year, took away from them, without their consent, a certain canoe, which never re-appeared. They therefore attached a hhd. of Rum of the def'ts lying in Sieur Gabrielle Minvielle's cellar, requesting that the attachment be declared valid, exhibit also certain writing of two impartial persons, who have estimated the canoe as worth £3 10, besides the costs incurred thereon by them.

Def't Default.

The W. Court declares the attachment valid, and orders that the Secretary write a note to the defendant to notify him of the attachment, and at the same time, if he appear not at the next Court day, judgment shall be pronounced on his default.
