Página 79 - The alderman and assistant alderman of each ward, shall nominate to the mayor, one captain, one first assistant captain, and one second assistant captain of police, and as many policemen as the ward may be entitled to ; the mayor may appoint all or any of the persons thus nominated. Should the mayor reject any such nominations, other persons shall in like manner be nominated for such places.
