Ordered, That the City Comptroller be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to the several officers and employes of the City of Chicago, on account of their salaries and compensation, respectively, for the months of January and February, 1908, seventy-five (75) per cent of the amount per month authorized to be paid for the fiscal year, ending December 31st 1907, subject, however, to such changes as may be made in such salaries and compensation by the general appropria tion ordinance for the fiscal year of 1908. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:

SECTION 1. That Section 3 of an ordinance granting permission and authority to the South Park Commissioners to take, regulate, improve, control and govern Bond avenue, from 83d court to 72d street; 72d street, from Bond avenue to Jeffery avenue, and Jeffery avenue, from 72d street to Jackson Park, passed by the City Council, October 7, 1907, published on pages 1804 and 1805 of the Council

Proceedings of said date, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Section 3. That unless the said South Park Commissioners shall, within six (6) months from approval hereof, select and take said portions of said streets for the purpose aforesaid, this ordinance shall cease to be of any force or effect, and the consent hereby given shall be deemed to be withdrawn."

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force from and after its passage.
