Candidates may in England be withdrawn after nomination six days before election. 2 The corresponding rule in the English Rules is as follows:-"The poll shall commence at such an hour, not earlier than 8 A.M., and close at such an hour, not later than 8 P.M., as shall be fixed by the Returning Officer; but the poll shall not be open for more than seven hours."
