DENOMINATIONS.---The Roman Catholic Communion includes the overwhelming majority of the Inhabitants. The Presbyterians extensively prevail in the north of Ireland, and who are under the General Synod of Ulster, but we have no returns. The Wesleyan Methodists number 22,848 members, under the controul of their Irish Conference. The Church Methodists separated from them about 14 years ago, because the ordinances are now admitted in the old connexion, by ministers not episcopally ordained. They number more than 14,000 members. The Quakers have a yearly meeting in Dublin, and the following places of worship; the Province of Ulster, 13; Leinster, 21; and Munster, 6; total 40. Baptists, no returns.
