RESOLUTION

Relating to tax charged to the county of Jeffer

son for A. D. 1845.

Rcsolved, (the house concurring,) That the auditor of the territory be, and hereby is directed to credit to the county of Jefferson, the sum of one hundred and seventy-five dollars and thirteen cents, the amount overcharged to said county as its proportion of the territorial tax for the year A. D. 1945, as shown by the corrected returns of the board of supervisors of said county, for said year.

RESOLUTION

Relating to outstanding bonds.

Resolved, by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin :

That so much of the r solutions of the legislative assembly of the territory of Wisconsin, passed February the 18th

A. D. 1812, as declares that certain bonds of which the ten
now outstanding against the territory, are a part, are null
and void, and that there is not, nor can be, any obligation,
either legal or equitable resting upon the territorial govern-
ment to reimburse the amount of said bonds or certificates, or
any part thereof, be, and the same are hereby recinded.

To organize certain towns therein named.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatires of the Territory of Wisconsin:

Sec. 2. That township fourteen, north of ranges eighteen and nineteen east, in the county of Fond du Lac, shall constilute a separate torn, and shall be known by the name of Eden, and the next election shall be held at the house of Pe. Eden. ter Vandervoot.

Sec. 3. That township number twelve, north of range twenty-two east, and fractional township twelve, range twen

ty-three east, in the county of Washington, shall constitute a Belgium. separate town by the name of Belgium, and the next election

shall be held at the house of Nicholas Vawrier.

Sec. 4. That township eleven, north of range twenty east,

in the county of Washington, shall constitute a separate town, Trenton.

and shall be known by the name of Trenton, and the next election shall be held al the house of John Smith.

Sec. 5. That township fifteen, north of range fifteen east, Springvale. in Fond du Lac county, shall constitute a separate town, and

shall be known by the name of Springvale, and the next election shall be held at the house of Abel Willard.
