SEc. 13. All that part of the county of Fond du Lac, enbraced in township number sixteen, north of ranges number sixteen and seventeen east, be, and the same is hereby organized into a separate town by the name of Eldorado, and the first town meeting shall be held at the house of Cyrus Parks. The said town of Eldorado shall form a part of the western assembly district in said county, under the state goverment. Sec. 11, That all that part of the town of Rome, in the county of Dane, embraced in township number six, north of Dunn. range number ten east, be, and the same is hereby organized into a separate town by the name of Dunn, and the first town meeting shall be held at the house of SEc. 15. That so much of range six east, as is embraced in towns six and seven, Dane county, is hereby organized into a separate town by the name of Blue Mounds, and the Blue Mounds. first town meeting shall be held at the house of Ira Isham: Provided, that until the town of Blue Mounds shall be organized by the choice of town officers, it shall remain attached to the town of Cross Plains for the purpose of town govern1 nent. SEC 16. Township number fifteen and the south half of township (of) number sixteen north, in range number nineteen east, organized into the town of Forest, is hereby declared to be a town by that name, and the acts and proceedings of said town in its assairs for the year 1847, shall not be deem
ed illegal or invalid by the reason of the said township's har. ing been included in the town of Taychedah,
Sec. 17. That for temporary purposes of town government, all that part of Winne baga county, embraced in fractional town twenty, north of range fourteen east, fractional town nineteen and lown twenty, of range fifteen, and the two west ranges of sections of towns nineteen and twenty, of
range sixteen, be, and the same is hereby organized into a Winccynnal separate town by the name of Winneconnah, and the first
town meeting shall be held at the house of Augustus Grig.
Sec. 18. That any law now existing by which personal property not
property may be taxed, shall not be in force in the town of to be laxed.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:
Section 1. That H. C. Hobart, Charles D. Cole, John W. CommissionTailor, Elias R. Chase, Moses S. Gibson, A. P. Lyman, J. ers appointed. T. Kirtland, John A. Eastman, and John Bannister, and such, other persons as shall associate with them, and become stockholders pursuant to the provisions of this act, shall be and hereby are created and made a body corporate and politic, in fact and in name, by the name of "The President and Di-Name and

Src. 2. be stockholders, and shall be elected annually, on the first Wednesday in December, at such place as a majority of the directors shall appoint, and shall hold their office for one year and until others are chosen. And the said directors shall choose one of their number to be their president, and a majority of said directors shall be a quorum for the transaction of business,

Src. 6. The persons named in the first section of this sei,
or any lio of them, shall be commissioners to open books Books opened
and receire subscriptions to the capital stock of said company, at such times and places as a majority of them may dcern espedient, and whenever ten thousand dulars of sur la capital stock shall be subscribed for and distributed, and ten per cent. paid thereun, said commnissioners shall call a meetings of the stockholders of said company by giving two weeks' public notice of the same in one or more peitspapers peto lished in the towns of Sheboygan nnd Fond du Lac, for the purpose of electing the directors of said company, w bo shall bold their office until the first annual election thereafter, and the directors shall be authorized to call in and require the
payment of the balance of the stock subscribed for, in ten
per cent, instalments, as they progress in the construction of said toad and as the interests of the company may require.
Sec. 7. It shall and may be lawful for said company, their officers, engineers and agents to enter upon any lands for the Corporation purpose of exploring, surveying and locating the route of said may take
land. road, doing thereto no unnecessary damage, nor locating any such route through any orchard or garden, nor through any building, or any fixtures or erections for the purpose of trade or manufactures, without permission from the owners there. of'; and when said route shall be determined by the said company, it shall be lawful for them, their officers, agents, engineers, conifactors and servants, at any time to enter pon, take possession of and use such lands, to the width of four rods, and also to take from any lands adjoining said road, gravel, stone or earth, for the purpose of constructing or repairing said road; subject, however, to the payment of $uch compensation as the company may have agreed to pay there for, or as shall be ascertained in the manner hereinafter directed and provided.
