D. 1865, entitled "An Ordinance to provide for the first ensuing election of Governor and Lieutenant-Governor, and for Members of the first ensuing General Assembly of the State of South Carolina,” the Members of the House of Representatives of the several Election Districts of this State, assembled in the College Chapel, in the city of Columbia, this day, at 12 o'clock M. On motion of Mr. A. P. ALDRICH, Mr. J. Harleston Read, a Member elect from Georgetown District was called to the Chair; when John T. Sloan, Clerk of the late House of Representatives, commenced a call of the Members of the House of Representatives by Election Districts, wher the following gentlemen appeared, produced their credentials, were sworr by the Chair, and took their seats: From Abbeville District: Messrs. A. C. Haskell, J. W. Hearst, W.A Lee, R. A. Fair. From Anderson District: Messrs. B. F. Crayton, T. H. Russel, R.N Wright, Wm. Henry Trescot. |
