THE "Christian House-Tablet" is a portion (so entitled by the Author) of an Exposition of St. Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians, by Theophilus Passavant, an esteemed Clergymen at Basle. The entire work is the fruit of much learning and study, combined with earnest piety and devotion. The present portion has been selected, as well for being complete in itself, as because it is on a subject of general interest and importance, and cannot fail, by God's blessing, to subserve Christian edification. May such high purpose be answered in all who give it a perusal; and the households of Britain, as well as of Germany, be benefited by the pious labours of the Author.
