The horses for all the stakes to be bona fide the property of, and are all (except the two, three yrs old, and produce stakes) to be ridden by Members of the Club; and no horse will be allowed to start for any of the hunters' stakes that is not bona fide and actually a hunter. A horse that is merely shown the hounds for the purpose of qualification will not be entitled to start.

All the stakes (except those otherwise fixed) to close and name to the Secretary, on the day preceding the races.

Horses take their ages from the 1st of January.

The money added to the stakes will be withdrawn if walked over for.

Will probably take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 10th and 11th of September (being the week between Warwick and Doncaster.)

FIRST DAY.-The Holme Park Stakes, a sweepstakes of 10 sov. each, 5 sov. ft. with 15 sov. added; heats, the Abingdon Course, about a mile and a quarter; three yrs old to carry 6st. 13b, four, 8st. 3lb. five, 8st. 11fb. six and aged, 9st. Ib. the winner to be sold for 100 sov. if demanded in the usual way.

The horses to be named to the Clerk of the Races on the Monday evening before the races. If walked over for the 15 sov. will not be

This stake to close, and the horses to be named on or before the 1st of July, 1844, and to be handicapped by the 15th of July. Three horses to start, or the 40 sov. will not be added; two miles; the second horse to save his stake. No person to receive more than one nomination. The winner of any handicap of 100 sov. value, after the weights are declared, to carry 5lb. extra.
