The Berkshire Stakes, a sweepstakes of 10 sov. each, 5 ft. with 15 sov. added, for all ages; heats, the Abingdon Course, starting at the distance, about one mile and a half: the winner to be sold for 80 sov. if demanded in the usual way. If walked over for the 15 sov. will

The horses to be named to Mr Burden on the Monday before the races, and to be handicapped on the evening of the first day, by the Stewards, or by whom they may appoint.

THE Leicestershire Handicap of 25 sov. each, 15 ft. and 5 only if declared to Messrs Weatherby, or Mr Jackson, Clerk of the Course, on or before the 1st of August, with 75 sov. added by the Inhabitants of Leicester and its Vicinity; the stake of the second horse to be returned.

To close on the 1st of July; weights to be declared by the 14th; twice round and a distance, about two miles and a distance and a half; the winner of any handicap after the weights are declared, once, to carry 5lb. twice, 71b. and thrice, 9lb. extra. The winner to pay 101. towards the expenses of the races, and to subscribe to the handicap the following year. If less than three horses start, the public money will not be given.

Any person taking a nomination for this stake, and not declaring ft. by the 14th of June, as above, will have to pay the stake of 20 sov. or the ft. as the case may be; and no horse will

be allowed to start whose owner, confederate, or trainer has not paid all former arrears of stakes at these races. If walked over for, the 501. will not be added.

The Oswestry Stakes of 5 sov. each, with 30 added from the fund, for three and four yrs old; three yrs old to carry 7st. 71b. and four, 8st. 71b. a winner once this year to carry 3lb. twice, 5lb. thrice or more, 7b. extra; horses that have started twice this year without winning allowed 3lb. thrice, 5lb. m. and g. allowed 3lb. a mile and a half. If walked over for, the 301, will not be added.

A gold Cup. value 100 sov. (in specie) by a subscription of 10 sov. each, the remainder to be paid to the winner; three yrs old to carry 6st. 9b. four, 8st. five, 8st. 9lb. six, 9st. and aged, 9st. 2lb. the winner of any cup of the value of 1001. in the same year, previous to the day of running, to carry 3lb. extra; m. and g. allowed 3lb.

To close and name to Messrs Weatherby, or the Clerk of the Course, on or before the 1st of August; two miles and a quarter, starting at the Turnpike-road. Ten subscribers, or no race. No nomination will be received unless the subscription is paid at the time. The winner to subscribe to the cup for the ensuing year.
